Martial arts expert Tito Ortiz was arrested on Monday for domestic violence, but he says that his girlfriend, Jenna Jameson, is addicted to Oxycontin and this was what caused the outburst.

Apparently Ortiz had first noticed a scratch on the elbow of his ex-porn star partner and suspected that she may have a problem with her balance which is a well known side effect of Oxycontin. He found the drug hidden within the house which the couple share with their twin boys, Jesse and Journey.

Ortiz insisted that he had not actually struck her. According to firstcoastnews it was the fact that Ortiz found drugs in their home on Monday that sparked off the fight. Jameson had made several 911 calls saying that she was going to commit suicide over the previous year but Ortiz stayed with her as he wanted to salvage their four year relationship.

Oxycontin is a controlled drug from the opium family, which is used as a painkiller and is on a similar level to morphine.
