American Idol 2010 Season 9 Schedule Released

Section:

The season 9 schedule of American Idol 2010 was officially announced by Fox. The season 9 show is to debut on January, 12th at 8pm. The show will be telecasted on every Tuesday and Wednesday night. As usual each episode will be one hour long. This year, the show reaches our television with a lot of new changes. One such "big" change is the elimination of the 'Wild card round' from the competition. Fox has also announced that DeGeneres will be the new fourth judge of American Idol 2010. She has officially replaced Paula Abdul, who had quit the show earlier.

But the interesting news is that, DeGeneres does not have any formal musical experience. But she does have a great passion for music and dance. She said that she is happy to become a part of this wonderful show. Ellen added that she is watching this event from people's point of view and not with producer's eyes. In addition to this, our new judge did not hesitate to disclose the "secret" that, she does not have any technical knowledge about such great television reality shows. For the ninth season of American Idol she would join Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell. So far the officials have been getting a mixed response from people, regarding the introduction of this new judge to this popular show. But still many fans are disappointed with the absence of Paula Abdul in the judge's panel.

Meanwhile another hot news story has been spreading about Simon Cowell's decision to leave the Judge's panel of American Idol following Paula Abdul. But don't be mistaken, he will leave the show only after the completion of Season 9. According to a press statement, Simon is planning to bring the new version of 'X Factor', exclusively to US audience. We can expect it by the beginning of year 2011. With his new contract Simon will be able to bring the show 'X Factor' to the United States. It is expected that he will take the judging role here as well.
